city of craft x desmond & Beatrice bake shop

We're thrilled to have Desmond & Beatrice Bake Shop back at City of Craft this year! In just a few short days, they will be bringing their mouth-watering cookies from one end of Queen Street all the way to the other. And this year, they are putting one into each of the swag bags for our Saturday morning giveaway! All our volunteers and vendors are getting one, too, because D+B are *very* good at sharing the cookie love.

From owner Amanda Mizen: "Desmond and Beatrice is back to basics, down home mama's baking. Cookies, cupcakes, and grandma's style cakes are the name of our game. Our shop is in in Leslieville and our 3 favourite things about the neighbourhood are amazing brunch spots, tea lattes from Te Are, and most of all our fellow small business pals."

We've been making lots of new friends as we celebrate our 10th birthday this year. People Power Press is one of our newest partners, and they helped us create some pretty kick-ass City of Craft X buttons, designed by Doublenaut! They are also tucking a pre-paid Make Your Own Button card into each of our swag bags, as well as giving them to each of our vendors and volunteers! This card gives you $10 to spend on making your very own buttons! Read more about People Power Press below, and start sketching out your button ideas!

People Power Press is Canada’s store for all things “button” and home of “The Button Guy Blog”. SWAG BAGS!

Here it is! The official City of Craft Winter 2015 Tote Bag, designed by Ian Phillips and hand-printed by Roisin Fagan. We're giving these beauties away to the first 100 people through the door this Saturday morning, and they will be filled with prizes! No two bags will contain the same goodies, but here are just some of the things you might expect to find...

The best part is that this weekend promises to be freakishly warm! You won't have to wait in line in a foot of snow like these guys did a couple years back to get your swag bag this year!

We're looking for volunteers!

City of Craft wouldn't be possible without the help of our outstanding army of volunteers. If you're interested in lending us a hand during the show (and getting crafty treats from our generous sponsors and vendors, and looking at lovely things, made by lovely people), then drop us a line at cocvolunteer@gmail.com! We'd love to have you, and you'll have tonnes of fun. Promise.
